Behind the brand: How Cetra for Vets came to life
Where do we begin!? A lot has happened in the past few years, but for those who don’t know our story, let’s go right back to the start!
Cetra has a sister company called AnatomyStuff, which was founded in 1999 by Clare King and Richard Klin. For over 25 years, AnatomyStuff has provided high-quality medical education products across both the human and veterinary fields, supporting institutions and organisations including the NHS.
At AnatomyStuff, we have and continue to distribute a wide range of veterinary training models and simulators across the UK and are proud to be the exclusive UK distributor for leading brands such as SynDaver, Realityworks, Bone Clones, Erler Zimmer, Rescue Critters, and Veterinary Simulator Industries, not to mention our own range of AnatomyStuff posters and models.
How our experience with AnatomyStuff led to a new digital solution for vets
Over the years, building up AnatomyStuff has given us invaluable knowledge and strong relationships within the veterinary industry. Through conversations with our customers and regular attendance at veterinary conferences, we’ve had the chance to really listen and learn.
It was at one of these conferences, while exhibiting as AnatomyStuff, that we heard from members of the veterinary community about a real issue: the lack of reliable pet owner education. Many professionals told us they were having to create their own materials or rely on unverified online sources like Google, which took valuable time away from their clients.
That got us thinking: with all our experience, why not create a solution? One that could provide clear, consistent, and accurate information to support vets and their clients alike.
And so, the idea for Cetra for Vets was born.
Medically accurate, peer-reviewed patient handouts you can trust
At Cetra for Vets, medical accuracy is our top priority. That’s why every handout on our platform is written and/or peer-reviewed by a team of qualified veterinary professionals. This rigorous process ensures that all content is clinically reliable, clearly written, and kept up to date with the latest best practices. You can feel confident knowing that the information you share with pet owners is both trustworthy and easy to understand, helping you improve communication, compliance, and outcomes.
Our content is back and loved by industry professionals. Our team of veterinary experts are passionate individuals who help to create our library of content aswell as share ideas and industry insight with us. From vets to nurses, lecturers to practice managers, we have a whole wealth of experienced professionals working with us.
How has Cetra been developed and what are it’s features?
Cetra for Vets is developed by our inhouse team of technical and medical experts. Initially starting as a platform to host a library of shareable handouts, we have grown from strength to strength over the past few years. In more recent months we’ve developed Cetra into much more than a library of expertly written and peer-reviewed handouts, it’s now a fully featured client education platform that includes:
Whiteboard Mode - for annotations, mark ups and visual explanations during consults
Interactive 3D Models - to support deeper client understanding
Practice Branding - so every handout reflects your clinic’s professional identity
PMS integration - seamlessly integrate Cetra into your daily PMS.
